Ayn Rand: Atlas Shrugged
- A novel about the role of government in business and how more government involvement results in less productivity and innovation. This is one of Ms. Rand’s books that she wrote to help explain her philosophy of objectivism.
Ayn Rand: Anthem
- A short novel that also explains the objectivist philosophy. It shows the struggle of an individual who wants to advance his own life and passions and the results government and cultural restrictions have upon him and the community. While a quick read, it is nonetheless thought-provoking.
Ayn Rand: We the Living
- Another short novel that also explains the objectivist philosophy. It is the closest to an autobiography by Ayn Rand and her life in communist Russia. Her writing demonstrates the fear and frustration of living with a corrupt government that rewards the power players and persecutes the poor and unbending. This is a demonstration of the tyranny our founding fathers were trying to prevent in our United States.
W. Cleon Skousen: The Five Thousand Year Leap
- Outlines the approach the founders of America took when forming our government and why they did certain things and included certain language when writing such documents as The Declaration of Independence.
